about two years ago they used to show a cartoon on bbc3 it was really strange and creepy and random, me and my friend were talking about it the other day and we cant remember what its called!

any ideas?

Yeah sounds like it could be monkey dust. I used to watch it was really random lol. It had among other things a guy who used to bounce on a spacehopper! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_Dust
