Films are a form of art, and therefore the writer to begin with, director, editor are going to give the movie their personal touch; these people are not historians, they are entertainers.
This reminds me of when I went back to Uruguay, and everybody was complaining to me about how inaccurate the Alive movie had been made. Movies are only based on a real fact, and you are going to find some little twists and some big twists, Farendheit 9/11 is a case in point. I do realize am not answering your question.
