Magazine Editors

Is there a website which lists the names of editors of different magazines and newspapers? I've tried googling, but keep getting subscription pages, and I'd rather not have to buy all of the magazines I wish to contact.
Many thanks

Try down your library for a copy of BRAD, that might help depending on what you want it for, it's more of a resource for advertisers rather than editorial though.

Hit your local reference library and get the Willings Press Guide - it comes in two volumes, UK and International.
You'll find everything divided into territores, magazine and newspaper classification, and all the info. you will need.
If you have trouble finding your way around it, ask one of the librarians who will help you.

I agree with Jon and Andy that your local library is the best place to find the information you require.
However, like Brad, Willings seems to be primarily aimed at advertisers. Many of the entries give detailed information about advertising rates, and the names of the staff who negotiate advertising contracts. Finding the name, and contact details, of the editor can sometimes be difficult (or impossible).
For editorial contacts, my preferred reference source would be the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook. Unlike Brad and Willings (which both cost a fortune and are normally only found in major reference libraries), the W & A Yearbook (which costs 14.99 at full price) is normally available for consultation in even the smallest branch library.

PS: Amazon will sell you the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2008 for just 9.74:
