remember a series the BBC did called The Flip SIde of Domonic Hyde.
It was a time travelling thing and something about him being his own grand dad.
I can remember it but other people I mention it to can't. I'm sure I didn't imagine it and it has never been repeated.

Yes tigerlily, I remember it well! Was from 1980. Don't know how to send links, but if you put Flip Side of Dominick Hyde into imdb you'll find it. x
If you're quick you might get this

Wish I could do that Junkman! Might nip into Technology section and ask for help!
There was a follow up as well "Another flip for Dominic".
i remember this being filmed , my friend called me from her car phone (very posh in the 80's) and said come quick there is a space ship landing here in shepherds bush -holland park roundabout . when i got there 10 minutes later we realised it was a scene from a tv series ,it was a spaceship suspended from HUGE crane and with the lights flashing in the dark it just looked so realistic ,shepherds bush police station apparently received hundreds of calls from motorists and residents reporting a spaceship landing !!!
I bought thevideo - still got it too :-)
oh and the sequal another flip for domonic too :-)
I've got both on DVD. A friend of mine downloaded it from somewhere or other. Music is good too. And Peter Firth (Spooks) looks SO young!

Thank you every one. I was worried there I was going nuts.
I wasn't sure how to spell it either. I also wasn't aware there was a second series.
Am I right in thinking Simon Callow was the star??

OPPs should have read that before replying. It was Peter Firth. Funy I was sure it was Simon Callow.
yeah that was weird eh, the guy in the big wide brimmed hat
BTW it was shown on BBC4 the beginning of 2006.
