I am fed up with the overthetop coverage of this and being told it's the biggest night of the year. I don't remember all this hype in the past. Fair enough to show the ceremony itself, but Oscar coverage has been going on for about two weeks now and will probably continue for another week or two. Is anybody really that interested?
Agree with vehelpfulguy, and yourself Lottie! I am bored to tears with the radio news/tv clips etc. of a totally pointless 'ceremony' that just massages the egos of people who are no better than the rest of us. I would rather see resources invested in covering events like the awards for remarkable children and young people. Why not do something worthwhile? I have paid no mind at all to the coverage, I don't know the categories, who won what, who wore what, who said what.
You have put it in a nutshell Loftylottie,
My Hubby and myself are so fed up of seeing coverage of this rather boring ceremony, or the run up to it.
We eventually started to turn over to another channel every time it came on our screens.
IT was running from early morning too!
