Who did I meet?

I was in Bournemouth last week and we went to Harry Ramsdens, Across from us was a man, his wife and two young daughters. The two daughters got very excited about what we were eating at our table and hence we chatted.

I know I recognise him from somewhere, tv or music, but I can't place him - can you help?

He is late thirties, blond, quite tall and stocky. He seemed like a very down to earth gentle guy who supports Barnsley.

Sorry not much to go on, but would love some ideas so that I can stopped being annoyed with myself.

I've looked at several sites and the only celebrity fans I can find for Barnsley FC are "Dickie" Bird, Sir Michael Parkinson, Darren Gough and Sam Nixon (of "Sam and Mark" on children's telly). None of those actually fits your description, I'm afraid.

Believe it or not I would never have known his name, but for some strange reason I recognised him and it has annoyed the hell out of me for not knowing. Now I know his name I would never have guessed it in a million years, but thanks for stopping the process of me driving myself slowly mad!

I walked straight passed colin firth when he was flliming Easy Virtue the other week, I was more interested in meeting Nick from My Family.

I have no idea who Shaun Dooley is.lol. What has he been in? I don't watch any soaps so if he's a soap actor its no wonder I have never heard of him.Good job I didn't meet him he may have been offended by my lack of recognition.

Jeez I need to watch more TV.He's been in quite a lot hasn't he! lol. I haven't seen a single one of the programmes he's been in though...............
