All the right.....but not necessarily in...utterly utterly brilliant...
Dorian singing "like a virgin" on birdsof a feather. Remember wetting myself slightly......
Only Fools and Horses where Delboy falls through the flap bit on the bar, I laugh each time I see it.
The only time I've actually fallen off my chair, through laughing at something, was when I was listening to Radio 4. It was when the 'Goodness Gracious Me' team first performed the 'Going for an English' sketch. However, it was still incredibly funny when the programme transferred across to TV.

Chris

As Booster Girl says, but also when Grandad bangs the wrong bolt and the wrong chandalier falls down!!

But how can one dismiss Basil Fawlty saying "Don't mention the war"?
lol yeah Wardy- also in Fawlty Towers when Basil beats the cra out of the car with the branch.
Oh Lord there are so many! more!!!

Dads Army "Don't tell them your name Pike"

Black Adder "He's madder than Mad Jock McMad from Madshire"

Only Fools when Rodney is pretending to be a tennis star.

"So Rodney, do you prefer clay or grass?"

"Dunno, I've never smoked clay"
Loving your taste in comedy Wardy- apart from Dads Army, can't abide that.
Mine is silly, I was watching an episoe of Frasier a couple of months back and it was the one where Daphne goes into labour at the vet surgery. There was a woman there with her monkey who was a nurse and offered assistance.

After Daphne gave birth, the nurse asked Niles to hold her monkey for her, he has the monkey in his hands jst as Frasier, his his Dad (John?) and Ros appear, Niles says "Oh, glad you could make itm but she's already given birth", at which those 3 look at the monkey and then Niles.

I don't know why, I found it hilarious, so much so that my stomach ached with laughter.

Hey ho LOL
I note that everybody is suggesting comedy. Can I also nominate a superb moment in TV history when a comedy programme finished on a sombre note? I'm thinking of the way that the final episode of 'Black Adder Goes Forth' ended with them all 'going over the top' and ended in silence, with red poppy leaves falling.

Chris
For me it was the Harry Enfield show and Mr Cholmondley-Warner presents 'The Conjugal Rights Guide'. I love it!

I was going to mention "My Family" Booster Girl. I think it is the only show worth mentioning in recent years.

Love the bit when Benm (Robert Lindsay) is hiding naked in his bath when his daughter is having a party and her friends walk in.

And

Black Adder "You look as guilty as a puppy standing next to a pile of doggy poo"
You're right Buenchico, that was definitely classic TV moment. I love all the Blackadder series and couldn't pick a favourite bit.
Would it be impertinent to widen the field to include film. I hope not therefore I suggest this one from a very large collection of very funny lines from one very funny film
'But surely you cant be serious'
'I am serious and dont call me shirley'
Black Adder goes forth is very sad for me as my Great Grandfather was amongst the first Officers to be killed during the Somme.

Of the four series (and the few one offs) it is probably the only one that actually tells a social message.

The funniest part of which was when Baldrick makes coffee and shakes his dandruff on top!!!

Oh, and when they ate the Kings' messager pigeon!!!
Never mind the ********* (at least i think it was that one)

someone said something to Meatloaf and he didnt hear what they said, when he asked them to repeat it Jo Brand piped up "he said Bat out of Hell is a **** record"

was a pure classic!
Oh yeah definitely that bit Chris- the bit in Blackadder where they go over the top always brings a tear to my eye.

Can I add anything which shows Les Dawson playing the piano badly? Infantile but it kills me.

And sorry wardy- your taste in comedy is slipping- My Family is bilge ;-)
Yes, it is not of the calibre of OFAH, Fawlty Towers etc, but name one single show that is remotely funny in recent times??

I quite like some of Cahterine tate and Little Britain, but sitcom wise there is nowt!!!!

My Family is passable in my comedy opinion.

As for Les Dawson, I recall him on Blankety Blank with a suitable chuckle on my face.
Question Author
Buenchico, brilliant Blackadder moment, very
poignant.
Dakota, love Frasier so many memorable moments!!.

Recent sit coms that are good? Hmmm, I'd have to say that our American cousins have got that sewn up. I really like Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens.
