What a farce how can you have a Nancy who is supposed to come from London, being played by a girl with a thick Irish accent?

i know can't believe the final two in I'd Do Anything, out of those two it has to be Jodie that wins
Apparently the new show is to be truer to Dickens' book rather than Lionel Bart's Oliver and early on in the series when research was done, there were a lot of Irish girls in London so the fact that Jessie is Irish is not relevant.

So we're to have a hefty Nancy - I hope the actor who plays Bill Sikes is a big man other wise how believable will it be that Jodie/Nancy would be beaten up by him and not give as good as she got. I just can't see her as vulnerable, abused Nancy.

theres nought wrong with jodie shes a good big hearted northern lass who is going to make a brilliant nancy, ive been backing her right from the start, by the way ive heard its the actor burn gorman thats playing bill sykes now he is the wrong shape to play bill but then he does have 6 months to beef up.

Sounds like a show that you wouldn't be unhappy if you never got to see it,
I rather liked Samantha, but as you never get to know who audits the phone calls you have to take their word for the outcome
A Nancy with a thick Irish accent? Wasn't that the presenter?
Nice one littleoldme!
