Why? Think yourself lucky you have nothing else to worry about.!!

I have things to worry about but i thought the poor thing looked so sad - but maybe I have a heart!
I too like animals and feel for them, but not to the point of crying my eyes out, if it was a baby(Human) that would be a different story.

Thats the joy of PMT - makes you cry at everything!!
I am with you on that one, sally, that poor sad face brought tears to my eyes. Daren't watch it tomorrow!
Question Author
Rainbow - I know what you mean but I will have to watch it.
I understand too Sally. Am dreading tomorrow. I love that programme, but, the lost and confused look on his wee face was awful.
how - what happened?

A monkey had a routine knee operation and it went well. However, the next day he appeared to have had a stroke and was listless and looked so sad. It was heartbreaking.
Every series of Monkey Life they have made over the last few years has been absolutely full of ups and downs! One minute your crying for the apes and the next they have you laughing. I was so impressed with Monkey World I took my daughters on the 7 hour car journey to visit there a couple of years ago and it was FANTASTIC! Highly recommended. It is a beautiful place where there are a lot of apes who have been abused and mistreated by idiots who think its clever to have an ape as a pet or to drug them and use them for photo opportunities with tourists and they have been saved and living in peace in this place. Jim and Alison Cronin have done a fantastic job saving these lovely animals. We talked to Mike the keeper when we visited and you can tell he absolutely adores his job and lives for helpin these animals. Sadly Jim Cronin passed away in March 2007 but his legacy lives on - if you get the opportunity then visit this place, its just as it is on the tv - making you cry and smile all in one day!! Its my favourite place in the whole of England!
Question Author
louise - it sounds lovely and I am very tempted to visit.

I wold need to take loads of tissues though.

I just hope that poor little monkey will be ok - i just have to watch tomorrow night and hope for a miracle.
You're very lucky to have visited there,Louise ;-).It must be so rewarding to get to work in a sanctuary like Monkey World, and a pleasure to go to work each day! I've already read an article about this series, sally, and further info about poor wee Aris, was given in it.
Question Author
Oh god - do they have to put him to sleep?
Question Author
Oh dear - I have just found out that he died bless him. Feel so upset and wont be watching it tomorrow. What a sad thing to have happened. I cant stop thining about his sad face and how upset the keepers were. No way could I do that job.
They do,I'm afraid to say :-(. The article was in the tv times, and i read it before i'd actually seen what was happening on this week's episodes.I also checked out the Monkey World site, and there is no mention of him there in either of the 2 orang groups. It's gonna be awful.
I live within a few miles of Monkey World and visit it very often, and I think it`s well worth the entrance fee. If you are disabled they loan you a mobility scooter free of charge to get around. Go to www,monkeyworld.com to read all about it. Hope to see you there.
Whoops, I just checked and it didn`t come up on screen for some reason, sorry
Me again,.just googled monkey world and scrolled down and got pleny or info

Thank you everyone - have been reading all about Monkey World and I will def go over the summer. If I lived nearer I think I would become a volunteer.

I def cant watch tonights episode - just too upsetting.
I cry my eyes out at stuff likes that too, Sally.

I couldn't sleep one night a few months ago so sat got up to watch a bit of TV, Animal Cops was the choice of the moment. Bad idea. There was a guy caught on CCTV hurting his puppy, he booted her in the stomach, lifted her off the ground by the lead and swung her around and around his head (like a ball on a rope) and then dunked her repeatedly in a pretty deep puddle.

I sobbed my heart out for the little thing - hiccups and everything. The pup is OK and has been rehomed and we got to see her a few months after it being rehomed and she was well cared for, loved and she was a very playful and happy thing.

So, maybe we do have other worries in life, but that doesn't stop us caring for only ourseleves and feeling empathy toward other people or animals.

And I didn't have PMT.
