I hate Eastenders. Am I alone? On the odd occassion that I do sit and watch it, I make a pact with myself that I'll stay until the word 'family' and the phrase 'cup of tea' is spoken before leaving the room. Invariably I never see the end of an episode. Anyone else feel like me?

No - I'm a big fan of it but I admit that it is going through a not-as-good-as-usual patch at the moment. James Alexandrou is gorgeous though.

SNAP!!! I last watched Eastenders week in week out in 1996, and only recently have I started to check out the goings on via the tv mags. Plots reintroduced over and over, dreadful acting, and absolutely NO realism ... well, ok 10 out of 10 for Sonia's birth scene which is a one off for Enders lol. I wonder if the Beeb are doing an experiment on us to see how much we will take from Enders before we all commit mass suicide?

i used to watch eastenders every single episode without fail up until about 4 months ago. It started to bore me and i found myself turning the channel over! i wouldnt say i hate it but i would say i feel a bit like u! lol

I'm a Corrie fan so my watching it is giving them 1 more viewer to make them sound batter than Corrie

My parents have watched it from the beginning and when I moved out of home about 7 years ago I declared that I wouldn't watch it anymore cos it was so depressing. I haven't seen it since and I haven't missed it a bit. Corrie is so much better.

I can't stand it, the acting is awful and plotlines dire. It also seems extremely depressing. I would rather get to know real people and the ins and outs of their lifes then a group of fictional, suicidal, east end chavs. Sadly though my girlfriend puts up with my love of the Simpsons so I have to put up with Eastenders!

eastenders may not be too hot, but u can turn it into a fun drinking game for those poor nights in.before the show starts, everyone has to pick at least one character...and when they appear in a scene, the person who chose that character has to drink a shot of chosen alcohol...its good fun!

It must be a BBC thing. Someone always says "We need to talk!" or "I don't wanna talk about it!" Anyroads, it's all pants to me!

If you switched over when the infuriating phrase "wots goin on" was used you would actually escape much earlier

Its boring,depressing and the same old things over and again."Ello Princess" AAAGGGH, Corrie far outweighs Easters,at least there's humour there and great actors!
