I was watching Blue Murder last night and there was a scene in which Caroline Quentin was interviewing a young woman. Was the apartment used in the programme situated in Brighton Marina? It looked very much like it. Bit of a wierd question, but I'm just curious! Thanks.

Not it wasn't. It was filmed at Thomas Telford Basin, Piccadilly Village in central Manchester. It's been used quite a lot recently by Granada, that scene took about 6 hours to film.
