recording sky + to dvd
5 Answers
Hi
I have the entire series of lost and heroes on my sky + recorder I don't want to get rid of them but they are taking up a lot of space - can i record them to a recordable dvd - if so could some one tell me how ( stage by satge ) PEASE - I am getting a bit desparate because I know that once 100% is used then the earliest recordings will be recored over so now these are actually stopping me using the recorder
thank you

To copy from Sky+ perfectly I use the 'scart' channel on my dvd recorder and then play the programme back from the sky+. Each episode must be done seperarately which is a pain but I like the pics to fill the screen when played back on the dvd player. You either have to keep an eye on the time or press the instant record button for however long your programme is.
I hope this is helpful.
You won't lose your programmes if you have pressed the blue button beside each one otherwise sky do sometimes delete things!

Hi Haggisdj,
Most of the series I copy I have set on the link facility but some progs I record direct to dvd if they are channels 1-4. All these dvds are sent to my daughter who works abroad for 6 months at a time. She only has a portable dvd player to view them on so it's important to fill the screen Sky seem to have no intention of adapting the software back to how it was. I waste so much time whereas I used to wait until I had 6 hours to copy and would come back after that time and it was all done. I did get a free month's subscription from them which was something!
Good luck LyndeyLou. Let us know how you manage.
