On BBC 3 or 4, although not currently.

Panel game about punctuation, grammar and English usage.

Nice older chap is the host.

One round is a block of text with all punctuation missing, and the panellists have to punctuate it properly.

Somebody must know.

Just to show I do ask questions.
lol ~Max~!! I bet you feel well clever now!!! ;o)

I remember watching that a couple of years back, are they new ones or have they been repeating the old ones Ethel?

I haven't seen it for ages, Wingnut, and wanted to see if a new series was do in the 'autumn season'.

Nothing :(
Ah. That puts a damper on my joy now.....

Ah well! I've answered Ethel question! Next step: Mastermind.
Aww that's a shame, I like shows like that, good harmless fun and you learn a thing or 2 too.

I guess I'll just have to stick to QI :o)
It's probably a bit obscure and weird for BBC4 to reconsider making more. I remember they had an equally "intellectual" panel game of mind teasers and problem solving - nice idea but it was like watching paint dry.
The wrinkleys r gonna zoom out on their zimmers..eh to prove they know a comma from an apostrophe.....how v.enlightening! and just to undermine youngsters.....pathetic!

There was another one I liked - again on one of the BBC digital channels.

Again, I can't remember what it's called.

Not a panel game, as such, but the object was to find the origin of words and phrases.

It was hosted by the daughter of the nice English comedy writer/panel game partiicipant whose first name I think is Alan. A chum of Barry Cryer's.

Name that show!
Balderdash & Piffle (Victoria Coren) (?)

Hope this is the one you want...

Memory like mush today. :)
