A Place in Spain

Did anyone watch the saga of Cheryl and Lee of Newport, South Wales, and their attempt to find a place in Spain to develop a snail farm? The programme was on Channel 4 a few years ago, repeated several times, and is now on various satellite channels.

What became of this pair? Did they ever realise their dream?

No they left the snail farm in the charge of someone else while they went galavanting, when they returned the snail farm was no more so they decided to take an offer of a job selling chalets, they even went to an exhibition centre to try and market the chalets but Lee did,nt like it.....

The last one i watched yes,but i also recall them looking after a fish farm but I believe they got the push.

After the television series Lee and Cheryl decided they were going to have a caravan site. They approached the young estate agent again - the one who let them use his land for the snail farm, if you remember - and assured him they were serious.

To cut a torturous story short, they tied the estate agent up for well over a year (not literally tied), the seller of the land, architects, solicitors, the local council planners - only to pull out at the last minute when they realised the seller of the land was not going to spend a lot of money getting the land ready for caravans. They had not spent a penny but wasted a lot of peoples time.
