I remember seeing a sketch about a Milkman who is doing his rounds & he arrives at this house & the woman of the house opens the door with just her dressing gown on.She invites him upstairs & leads him into a room. She quickly locks the milkman in the room & when the milkman looks around the room there are other milkman there i think there is even a skeleton wearing a milkmans uniform.I'm trying to work out what show that sketch came from. Some suggestions i have already been given have been The Benny Hill show,The 2 Ronnies & Monty Python. It may well be possible that more than 1 show did this sketch. Can anyone help?

Definately Monthy Python. See: http://www.intriguing.com/mp/_pictures/compdiff/milkman.jpg The sketch was also in their fllm "And Now For Something Completely Different".
I seem to remember it from The Dick Emery Show in the 1970's ( or was it Dave Allen at Large ? ). I guess you can't tie a good gag down.
100% Definite Monty Python.
Definately, it was in the room that he then wrote the funniest joke in the world which they used to defeat the germans. He died laughing.
initially i thought 2 ronnies but having seen some other answers Dave Allen feels very right to me!

I completely agree with Tarsins and Mr.Ix

You can probably find it on www.youtube.com failing that, get yourself down to HMV and bag yourself a copy of 'And Now For Something Completely Different' it's cheap as chips, got some classic sketches ( how not to be seen, dead parrot & nudge nudge) and is just a fantastic watch basically!

Actually - i found it for you:

This is the version from the Flying Circus - the one from And Now For Something Completely Different is slightly different - It's a different house, there are more milkmen crammed into the room and the woman is played by Carol Cleaveland
