Why do we have these so called celebrity award shows? surely its all about the "celebebs" with there own heads up there own arses trying to promote there own so called work. Reality Star of the Year, Couple of the Year.....good grief.....does anyone feel the same about this total waste of money.

Yes, I do feel the same, but unforunately going by the number of peopl ewho vote on these shows, we are in a minority. I also hate the scandal newspapers, but it is scandal that sells the papers

I totally agree...when I saw the trailer for this particular award ceremony I was aghast. It's just congratulating people for managing to get themselves on TV or in the papers, and that's easy enough to do these days. However, perhaps we're to blame because we keep watching and bying...hmmm...

nicola_red, you've just summed up my feelings exactly. At least most awards shows seem to be FOR something the celebs have done - the Oscars, the Brits, the BAFTAs etc - but unless I'm mistaken, this seems to be awarding celebrities for being, um, celebrities. Very odd.

Was i the only person who noticed how embarassed most of the people were who won and for crying out loud how can a couple with less personality than mop heads win couple of the year they've only known each other five minutes the whole thing was basically a huge joke on all the idiots who were there.
