Neighbours

SAd I know, bit I was off sick yesterday and caught neighbours for the first time in 10 year or so!! Why has Lou gone to prison and who is the cell mate connection?

I havn't been keeping up to date particularly well with neighbours over the summer but as far as i can remember hes in jail for fixing a horse race for some mafia guy called Rocko. His cell mate is a guy called Darcy whos in jail for going a bit mental and stalking Dee (whos now dead - sorry to be the one to break it to you!). Feel a little ashamed knowing all this but in my defence i am a student and thus for most of the year have nothing better to do with my time than watch cheesy australian soaps! (yeah, your right - rubbish defence!)

darcy is susans nephew and hes in jail for robbing her house after he owed lots of money through gambling and i have nt got any excuse for watching neighbours apart from i have no life!!

I haven't watched it for years and am in utter shock that a) Dee is dead and b) Lou is in prison! What has happened to Louise?? Also, if I remember rightly, didn't Dee go out with someone called Darcy, I'm sure he was cheating on her with a friend or something. But the friends didn't know they were both seeing the same man. While I think about it what happpened to Mrs Mangle?

Oh yeah I remember the Darcy plotline now! You know what Mully, there aren't enough people like you and me! I reckon if everyone took 20 minutes out of their day to watch a non-demanding, brain-tranquilising soap the world would be a much more peaceful place! (or at the very least I wouldn't have to turn the channel and pretend to be watching the Daily Politics whenever someone walks in the room!)

Another thing that shocked me is Joe Scully has disappeared. I never used to see it as I worked through both afternoon and evening shows but I've been off sick from work for a month so am watching it quite regularly now, but only noticed that he'd gone when someone on teletxt asked, and the answer was he'd been sacked from the show. How they wrote him out I don't know, do any of you lot know? hehe there should be an Australian soap section!

Louise (Lou's daughter) went to live with her "real" father after there was a paternity dispute and a custody battle - I think that it was a bit acrimonious at first, but then Lou accepted it when the DNA test confirmed that the other man really was her father. (I don't know exactly who the other man was or how he came to be Louise's father)

Mrs Mangel/Mangle(sp?)emigrated to England (if I remember correctly)

Joe Scully supposedly went to live with / visit relatives (for some vague soapy-reason); as far as I know, the actor was sacked on the spot ALLEGEDLY because he was caught taking an illegal drug on the set (I don't know how reliabale this rumour is). I think that "officially" no reason has been given for his dismissal.

I don't watch Neighbours regularly, but only get the last minute or two occasionally before the 6 O'clock news. The nature of "Neighbours" is of course such that this is usually enough to keep up with what's happening.
