Female Comedian, Host From Lancashire
7 Answers
Does anyone know the name of this female host also a comedian who died from breast cancer (I think) back in the early 90s or maybe late 80s. I think she hosts Opportunity Knocks or some talent show in the 80s and has a Lancashire accent?

Malcolm looked in a gardening book and decided to name Lynne after the first thing he saw in the book. He opened the book and looked at the words 'tomato cane'. The name Marta Cane was born but after being wrongly spelt at a show shortly after, the name Marti Caine stuck.

Lynne (Marti) used to work in the Sheffield Council Housing Dept offices with my aunty!! Apparently she was a real comic at work too - just as large a character in real-life as on the stage.
