In Thursdays Come Dine With Me (from Blackburn), a very nice lady called Kelly said dead bodies weigh a stone less than when they're alive. Anyone know why this is? And anyone know what music was playing when the winner was announced?

there was a film called 21 Grams, apparently the weight of the soul.. so once you die your body weighs 21 Grams less because it has gone...

apparently!
i thought a body would feel heavier dead as it is totally relaxed
Er, lack of bodily fluids???? Don't they leak or are removed?
Sara3 is spot on. Although how many people have been weighed just before and after death to that level of accuracy makes you think that it was stated just to make a film and isn't true. I think Kelly got it totally wrong.
I think Kelly is what you would call 40watt (a little bit dim).

Trust me when I tell you a body weighs the same before and after death. This is nothing more than an urban myth.

Work in a hospital morgue so trust me same weight on there doc,s before and after.
