This one is driving me insane! My Father watched a series in the early 70's about a French village that was having a urinal erected in the town square. Does anybody remember it, it's name, or have any further informatin on it? Any info much appreciated.

ahhh, clochemerle..now that brings back memories..it was great...as i remember they were all up in arms about that "*******"! lol!

thank you all, I remember it from my teenage years, but had been under the "wrong" impression it was called "Cloche Miele", no wonder I couldn't find anything.

Yes it was Clochmerle and, living in a small village in Brittany, I can assure you it was true to life here.

Supermike, I know exactly what you mean my sister used to live in a tiny village in Provence and I can see where the idea came from.
