I think Robert Lindsay was in the running for the role when Paul McGann got it in 1996.I would have like to have seen Anthony Head in the role.
Congratulations to Matt Smith.I don't think he was even mentioned in any of the reports or betting odds.But he was there in Lizo's report for the BBC just before Confidential.
