It's a (sad) fact of life that what used to be considered 'swearing' when I was in my teens and twenties, is no used as normal speech patterns.
Swearing per se does not offend or upset me, it;s simply ugly language - all obcenities are harsh because their evolution means that the ability to spit our syllables means they endure.
I do like TC - I interviewe him years ago and found him very likeable and bright - he saf from the 'thick northerner' that the papers like to call him - you don' win two consecutive Sony Radio Awards in your early twenties by being 'thick'.
Constant prolonged exposure to anyone brings out their faults and downsides - whether on TV, as we see them, or in the house - as they see each other - that is what makes the show watchable.
I understand about Tina - the Liverpudlian actress - it's one thing to say you are loud fat and speak your mind, but it's rather wearing to have it underlined every minute of every day.
The least 'performing' housemate was Lucy, and now she's gone.
