The Primitives were really quite a twee and cutesy little jangly indie band (in the 80s sense, before the word "indie" started being applied to anything and everything) and for them to have a top ten hit was quite an amazing thing at the time. Of course, their next single was twee as anything and they vanished back into obscurity pretty sharpish.
