Shot in 2000, the film "Racetospace" with james woods etc has yet to be released, so what has happend to it?

The film was finished in 2000. It's loosely based on the story of Dr Wilhelm Von Huber who sent the first chimp into space. Columbia TriStar say the film has been released direct to video sh you should be able to pick up a copy at your local rental store.
