who played the original character "daredevil" before ben affleck in the remake

ben affleck plays the blind vigilante in the film daredevil, but ive been told that itsa remake of an old tv series? if so, who played the lead character in that show?

I cannot find any other reference to daredevil on IMDb apart from the one mentioned.

Not exactly daredevil, but years ago there was a series called longstreet about a blind insurance investigator, who developed Martial art skills. Bruce Lee was in that for 4 episodes - maybe that is the series you are thinking of.
