80s Film

Does anyone remember a film from early to mid 80s, its a love story, but the girl is just a model in a poster, ends up with the guy going into the poster, and bringing her back to reality, and everyone in the poster is wearing rollerskates?! sounds really weird, but swear i didnt dream it up! and no, its not the A-Ha video, its definately a film (american i think).

Now i've looked it up, sounds like it could be Xanadu, remember the bit where she asks her father to become human, thanks everyone, thats been bugging me for about 15 years!!

DEFINATELY Xanadu. My wife used to make me watch it. The part you are reffering to is where the 'poster' is on a brick wall at the end of dead end road. He skates towards it at full speed and disappears into the poster where he finds Olivia Newton John talking to her father (Greek God).

It is quite possibly one of the worst films ever made. But O.N.J looks good in it.
