I'm watching This Morning and Max Clifford, Jade Goody's PR Guru is being telephone interviewed. Whilst Jade's plight is tragic and unfortunate that such a young woman is suffering like this, with only weeks to live, is her situation really of public interest? Max Clifford believes it is.

I do feel sorry for her and her two young sons, but I have to admit, the constant images of her and news reports are starting to wear thin and I fear I may lose sympathy. Does anyone else feel this way?

Surely it's time she started to keep this personal matter within the confines of her family and put an end to the Media Circus.

Smear tests have gone 20%

May be that was her purpose on this earth.
alot of others feel this way. Me included now. Its helped others be brave enough to get smear test done but she needs to now spend time with her family. I got OK yesterday a few weeks ago I may have been upset reading it, but was a normal story to me
Is it distaste for Jade, Max Clifford or both, or the fact that it is a media/PR machine for personal wealth and gain?

I seem to remember Jane Tomlinson being around a lot prior to her death, but nobody quibbled about her being in the press.

If Jade lent herself to a fundraising smear test campaign, rather than hoarding cash for her boys, would it make it more palatable? Is this your issue?

The situation with Jade is dreadful I think everyone has to agree with that, and if faced with the same scenario I would want my kids to have the best education money could buy, like me, I believe we all "disliked" the Jade who was horrible to Shilpa Shetty, the loudmouth who had been badly educated and knew no other, yes, she did get on my nerves.... and I believe this is why she is trying to rake in as much money as she can, so this will never happen to her two beautiful boys and everyone has been touched by her plight, Sir Elton John, Mohammad Al Fayed to name a couple, so I wonder, is Max Clifford donating his time? admittingly he does a good job, just a thought though, at what cost?
Does anyone wonder if her boys will get the benefit of all the money?
The poor girl is having an operation tonight, to remove a tumour which is blocking her bowel and causing her intense pain, in the hopes of alleviating the pain and giving her a bit longer with her precious children. She may be uneducated but she isn't stupid, she has arranged for the money she has earned to be placed into a trust fund for her sons. She is well aware of her very poor level of education, and wants her sons to have the best education possible. The trust fund is to be administered by a Board of Trustees, and no one can touch it, except for the benefit of the two small boys, not their natural father, not Jade's new husband, and not her mother. The trouncing she got from the media for her remarks, was down to her ignorance not malice, which she now fully realises. She does deserve some credit for the high profile she has given to cervical cancer, and she has not wallowed in her own misery, but has spoken out in hope that her plight will encourage young women every where to get themselves checked out, as she wouldn't wish any other girl to find herself in the same dreadful predicament. And it is working, there has been a distinct rise in requests for testing. Perhaps now people will give the girl a break, I think she deserves it.
There are no rules on how you face death .If any of the media attention help people to get checks ect then a great deal is being done Jades plight could be used to an advantage .If say for one year .the mags which give such outlandish feee for weddings ect stated that the money instead of going to the so called celebs for these events would go to cancer reserch .It would be interesting to see how many would sign up to the deal .Lots & lots I persume

max clifford is the master of celebrity p.r!!!
Look at this week's Private Eye, they have the same writers' columns before and after cancer, such a difference, she went from perceived **** to saint overnight. Says a lot about the journalists as much as anyone else.
I recall P. E. did the same with the sainted Diana, how vitriolic the journalists had been in their planned Sunday columns and how they hypocritically started the process of beatification in the early hours.
