ITV have announced jobs to go. Why do they have two news readers for 15 mins news time? each one reading two lines in turn they must be exhausted at the end of the day!!

I think it's because they need both a man and a woman fronting the news to reach both the male and female demographic. It's the same for the national and regional news teams. You'll notice that there are (with few exceptions) a male and female presenter.

A small thing,but a waste of money, on BBC and ITV, why do they have EVERY morning newspaper on the set when nobody even looks at them. LK TODAY,GMTV Andrew Marr Show to name but a few!!

Most newsreaders prepare the news as well as present it, they don't just turn up for 15 minutes of work.
