Just watched his appearance at the O2 to announce the concerts, his reception was amazing and I will be getting tickets I will be getting tickets I will be getting tickets!!! If I convince myself I know it will happen! Cannot wait it's like a second chance, it's times like this when you think what it would have been like if Elvis had lived, and travelled over here.

your reply is hardly in the spirit of my post is it Jimmy, and very predictable, I will not be asking you for the date and time of the conviction nor for the proof of any crime, that was a debate from several years ago on here.

Anyone who thinks that MJ is not a balmpot is mentally deficient

because he didnt get found guilty doesnt mean anything, it was the same court system that found OJ Simpson not guilty

If you get excited about seeing a 50 year old bloke in an dodgy wig with appalling facial surgery (that he wont admit to having) thats your perogitive
Is it only white people who are Jackson fans? I've never come across any black people who like him.

I personally think everything he's done Post Jackson 5 is dire.

Correct it is, why try to insult me over my choice to like a singer? You have just made a personal comment about my mental state all because you choose to believe the media hype about MJ, what exactly has that achieved?
I always regret that I never saw Freddie Mercury live, so go ahead Dot and get those tickets. However, be aware that seeing him now at 50 might spoil those precious memories you have. You may well be very disappointed.
I am aware that if Freddie could make a comeback now it probably would not come up to my expectations.

Anyway, I sincerely hope you get those tickets!!!!

I have been a Jackson 5 fan and a michael jackson fan since 1971, it's kinda hard to change that, I have no idea whether race creed or colour has any bearing on who is or is not a fan, it would never have occurred to me to consider the question velvetee.
Dot I was being slightly tongue in cheek lol

Agree with the post Jackson 5 bit

Dot if you want to get excited over a 50 year old washed up has been who's just doing it because he's skint then you carry on ;-)
Dot....why do you always take everything so personally. He said 'anyone' not 'dot.hawkes'

Anyway....I went to see him on the 'BAD' tour and he was really good.
I'm not sure if he really is a kiddie fiddler or not but his music is amazing.

Is he only doing the toue because he is skint?? Sure he is!

But will I still buy tickets?? Course I Fu*king will.
i too will be after tickets - when are they on sale do you know?
I would pay a vast amount to see him, as would many of my friends.
It does have a bearing Dot, as in the seventies, he was in the first black boy band and we all thought great. Now, however, his race is dubious and most black people see him as an embarassing joke. Just seemed to me all his fans are white, but he probably likes it that way.
good luck to him its the record buying crowd that love him its a sell out practically already for this world star, no matter if he's broke now that's what he is a world star
i just don't think he'll have the stamina to do all the dates
and COOPER you make me want to vomit!!
you go get tickets if thats what you want dot.

whats the betting that he sells the tickets and then cancels the gigs though.
God Velvetee - you sure know a lot of black people to know that fact!
Everyone is entitled to their own taste - and if you don't like him, you won't be queuing for the tickets
All the more for the fans!
I think I can survive without going to see him. Freak is right.
I have stated my own take on 'comebacks' on other posts - but that should in no way detract from the obvious pleasure that Dot and others are going to feel when they see MJ in concert.

JimmyCooper's points - although embroidered with unecessary personal vitriol against Dot - raise another point which I have made coment on previously -

can we seperate the art from the artist/

Are Gary Glitter's seminal glam tracks any less appealing and historically contextual because of his odious personal life?

And to take it a step further - should Wagner's work be banned because of his fascist sympathies - as it is in Israel?

It's an interesting issue, but to return to Dot's obvious enthusiasm - have a great time and i am sure the production and music will be as sensational as ever.
Another thing that has baffled me for a while. He say's he has two children, with that woman who was a nurse. He claims to be their biological father, but how come the kids are caucasian?
ooohhhh Alan

Because I had the audacity to say that MJ is freak?

and you must need your head looking at if you want to go and pay hundreds of pounds to see someone who will be a shadow of their former self???
