Can't wait for the next series of Dancing on Ice - Fern Brittan will be on there, she was limbering up with the umbrella routine last night on that Red Nose thingy !!

I bet Coleen's ears are burning !!
I wonder what Colleen is thinking when she stands in the "winning" line up watching the skate off between two very good skaters. Can you imagine how uncomfortable you would feel, I know I certainly would.
did you see the look on the faces of the 2 in the skate off? they werent impressed and i dont blame them
Just can't believe she got through! As the majority say here, she should have the guts to bow out. I used to quite like her, but no more.
It must be the fans of 'Loose Women' voting.

Mind you, I find it hard to believe there are any.
Wasn't there some kind of controversy over Zoe Salmond being a loyalist or something?
Never realised the ice dancing was so political
I know 6 people that vote for her regardless. 3 fancy her, 2 liked the nolans and the other person thinks she is good!

TV or any votes are rarely about who is best. My local football team did a player of the month award, but fans were voting for their favourite player each week (one month a player won who had been injured for 3 months!). They put a stop to that.
Iwould love to see Colleen win, then perhaps we would see an end to these shows, like dancing on ice and come dancing, they are just there to make millions from the phone calls,The producers of these shows enter people like Colleen Nolan and John Sergeant so the public will vote for them thus creating large amounts of money from the phone calls

Why should she bow out, just because others are better than her?

That's ridiculous! That's like saying you can only enter if you are very good. At what point should the poor skaters (or dancers, as with Sargent) bow out? They might as well pack it in at the beginning - "I'll leave now, 'cus I'm not very good, and it's not fair to the others"
So what would be the point of them being there at all? You wouldn't see anyone improve, like Donal.
Also, what sort of message would that send to young people? My 8 year old loves it, and I'd hate her to think that you can give up if you don't think you're as good as the others.

If you want a competition among skaters who are all a similar standard, then watch a real contest.
This is a celeb thing to make money and the public will always vote for the people they like.

For example, I, know that Ray is a great skater, but I can't bl00dy stand him and will always vote against him!

So there! (feel better now)
The British public will always amuse themselves when given the chance to vote - remember the persecution of John Fashanu in the celebrity jungle.

Also as soon as some pretentious expert starts telling you what to do, many will automatically go the other way.

Don't forget these are entertainment shows.
