Freeview and Freesat

Am thinking of going from Freeview to Freesat so I can watch the HD progs on my HD ready tele, but I am wondering if I will still be able to get the following channels.
Sky 3, Yesterday, Dave, Virgin 1, Five USA and Fiver?
Also, which channels will I be able to get if I change that I can't get now?
Don't want to spend money on a Freesat box and installation if it's not gonna be worth it.

If your television is only HD Ready and not Full HD, there is probably no point, because you will not be able to see the difference on your existing TV.

Gromit, I was told at Currys that if I bought the freesat box and had it installed,with the dish, then I would be able to watch HD progs.
Redman, had already seen that website and the above programmes that I mentioned don't seem to be listed on Freesat that is why I asked the question.
Some that are mentioned are S4/C, BET, Bloomberg and others that don't mean anything to me.
I was hoping that someone who has changed from freeview to freesat would say whether in their opinion, it was worth it.

Note there are "ordinairy" Freesat boxes and HD Freesat boxes, so make sure you buy a HD Freesat box.

If the resolution of your TV is 720p (about 768 horizontal lines) then you will probably not notice much difference watching HD. Check the book that came with your TV.

If your TV is 1080I or 1080P horizontal lines you will notice a difference with HD.

A TV can be "HD ready" when it is only 720P (backing up what Gromit said).

Note that a "normal" DVD is already 576 lines on a UK TV, so if you are watching HD on 768 lines that is not a huge increase.

btw I think there are only a couple of channels on Freesat that are actually broadcasting in HD, only the BBC and ITV I think with 1 channel each.
