This used to be a BBC TV series, back in the 80's, and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can get it anywhere on DVD. I've tried the BBC website, Amazon and Play...any ideas??

I'm thinking that "Life Without George" was earlier than the 80s, as Lucille Ball's solo show, "The Lucy Show", used to say in the closing credits "based on the show 'Life Without George'".

No, I think that's a different show. This was a BBC comedy drama called "Life Without George", and had the boss from Hi Di Hi in it. It was about 1987

Carol Royle was in it, i remember it but i don't think u can get it on dvd or video. The BBC sometimes just don't release certain programmes on video/dvd, some of them are just scrapped.
