What a load of rubbish!! When did British people use the word "Raincheck"? Writers watching too many American Films?

I hate when we adopt these americanisms too. Like, when they misbehave, children are now 'grounded' - thats an import. I also think the writers are trying to copy Waterloo Road - but not in a successful way!
I remember watching the Bill a couple of years back and they were sat discussing a case a looking at pictures of terrorists when one of the policemen said, "Look out for him, he's a known suicide bomber".

How could he be a known suicide bomber!!
Maybe it was a failed suicide......
