C.S.I. 200th edition episode

Anyone else think this "special" directed by William Friedkin was well below average for csi? It seemed like this episode was written by someone else as well. It was absolutely dire. The actors did the best they could with the script but the storyline was dreadful. Also badly filmed. Lets get back to the way it should be without guest directors. (Laurence Fishburne is good but I do miss Grissom)

Yes I was very disappointed with it. They tried to make it too arty and the constant bongo playing throughout drove me mad.

Also, as regards to the actual story, if I saw I was being chased by a mad man, I certainly wouldn't leave the public walkway and run into an abandoned underground shelter!

Don't you think the "realistic" talking-over-each-other, improvised interviews were against the CSI accaepted style?

As a CSI addict I agree also. I do think Laurence Fishburne is quite a good replacement for Grissom and making him start at the bottom was a great idea. The 200th episode was so boring I was on here at the same time, despite that annoying music!

I read today that since Grissom left the ratings have gone from 24million down to 15 million... its always been in the top 5 tv programmes in the US...

This episode was well below the standard we have been used to. For some reason the producers allow celebrity directors to work on milestone episodes and it just does not work.
I have been to Las Vegas and believe me the victim could have gone anyway and found a public area and taxi rank.
I fell asleep watching the show. a first for me
