In the classic episode of Only Fools & Horses 'Jolly Boys Outing'to Margate - was it actually filmed in Margate? Many of the scenes look like Portsmouth...?

Definately Margate. At least, it looked like margate. Never been to portsmouth, so couldn't compare.
Haha..no idea of the answer but I've watched that episode twice today on G.O.L.D... classic!!!!
I've lived in Portsmouth for almost fifty (God that makes me feel old!) years and having watched, like many, the 'Jolly Boys Outing' on numerous occassions I can certainly say that I've seen nothing that ever made me think that looks familiar.
Yes it's Margate, a friend was down there when filming,the group was just as funny of f screen as on ,my friend informed me.

Thanks, i was just curious as one scene looked like it had the large 'Pall Europe' building in the background which made me wonder :)
