Top Gear 'Stig'

I read somewhere that they changed the original 'Stig' because someone blew the whistle on who he was.

To this date I've never found out. Anyone know who it was?

It was one-time F1 driver Perry McCarthy. He's also got a book out called something along the lines of "Flat out � Flat Broke"

It was Perry Mcarthy as someone has already said.

The reason he was replaced was he tried to copyright the name 'the stig'. The copyright belongs to the top gear program and you don't mess with the BBC!
