Bush 32" HDTV Stuck in standby

Please help, i got a tv from ebay and everything has been working fine for about a week. Then tonight it just turned itself onto standby. I tried turning it back on and the green light comes on a small pop from the speaker and then back to the red light of standby. I tried taking the plug out left it for an hour, when i put it back in the picture came back the sound worked then after about 2 mins it happened again. Whats wrong with it???

Not always a good idea to buy Electrical Goods such as TV's off Internet ! Is the TV Brand New with a Guarantee ?
Contact the seller in the first instance if the TV is still under Guarantee and see what response you get.
When buying anything Electrical such as TV's you should always let the Retailer install the Product, because if there happens to be anything wrong with it, there is no way they can then turn round and say that the product was OK when it left the Shop and you made a Pigs Ear of the installation thus invalidating the Guarantee.

Sounds daft I know but check to see if the remote handset is in tv mode. If it has been switched to dvd mode it won't work for the tv.
