can anyone tell me the name of the bird that had the voice over of a hard man, the bird was large grey and had a huge beak, looks almost prehistoric, its been on a nature programme before but I cannot remember the name and its driving me mad!

no it was a real bird but looked like it should be extinct - it was very weird looking. The show uses real animals and just does a voice over, some can be funny but its not great bbc tv!

I can't remember exactly what it looked like but I think it might have been a Shoebill chris...

thank you yes that was it - great now it won't keep me awake wondering!
haha... the nightmares we could have about them might keep us awake! Bit scary looking aren't they? maybe they actually have voices like Alan Carr? :o)
