Absolutely none whatsoever. I don't dislike Sarah on a personal level, but doing this sort of programme is patronising.

She is a rich madam who has No idea, No journalistic training and No wonder she's been slated for this. Her intentions were probably well-meant, but she should keep her neb out of things she has never, and will never, know anything about.
But she is the Duchess of York !
From an interview I read she has stayed in contact with many of the people she met. Can't be such a bad thing.
Like I said, I think she genuinely means well and doesn't mean to be patronising - but her (ex)-position just in itself means that she will always get sl@gged off for doing such a programme. I'm sure she cares, but she's the wrong sort of person to present something like this and expect to get nothing but praise for it.

I like her - she's a game old bird who knows how to fight her way out of a corner and think she got a rough ride from the Royals - but she should present something other than this sort of programme.
and ...........
should Kirsty Young be on crimewatch - has she any form- has she even mugged a pensioner
good point beejay :-)
william was trekking up a mountain with homeless people not so long ago, the royals and ex royals tend to mix with a variety of people
does she still work for the royals?
yup jojo
she cleans at buck pally - 2 hours a day
I think William & Harry can get away with it more - Harry especially seems used to mixing with all classes & types of people. Maybe it's their youth, maybe it's because they're in the services, maybe them doing it would be more realistic, I don't know.

Mind you, better Sarah than Princess Anne - I think that would get stuck on one's throat somewhat....!
Sarah Ferguson is Olive the Cleaning Lady !!!!!
The DOY-Sarah has more media experience than me and p'haps you.

If the TV authorities pass her program for broadcasting that's their prerogative......you can always press OFF switch.
I wouldn't mind getting Bolly rat@rsed with her - I bet she's a laugh.

I agree Salla ...

I bet she's top jolly after a few glasses.

At the end of the day Sarah Ferguson via the programme & the determination of the people of Northern Moor between them have kick started a much needed community centre for the local residents of Wythenshawe. Is that really a bad thing?
wonder if she is working for herself or for someone else!!!!!!
I understand what you're all saying, but I say good on her for helping to get the community centre up and running, it was badly needed.

I have worked in Sale circle and it is not very nice at all - it's the few yobs who make it frightening for residents, especially in the evenings.
Didn't see the programme, but it does sound like a media accident waiting to happen.

By definiition, SF has nothing in common with 'ordinary' people, so she is on a looser to start with, it's bound to attract an audience waiting for her to drop a monumental gaffe.

I'm with Salla on this - good on her for trying, maybe a dubious choice of project. I'm not from a sink estate, but if she fetched up on my doorstep saying she understand my problems and saying "Yaah, OK.." at me, I might get a tad miffed.
Air-miles Andy and Fergie are nothing but an embarrassment if you live in York......
