On BBC1 and 2, there is a short traler for John Tavener as This Week's Composer on Radio 3, but what is the music being played?...it features a continuous high note on violin and I guess the music is Tavener's. Ta Muchly.

It's called The Protecting Veil. It's a new piece, commissioned by the BBC from Tavener.

I'm not that musically brilliant, I've just seen it and it was written on the screen while it played. Bizarrely, I was looking at your question when it came on.
