Primeval is returning for 2 more series on ITV 1 in early 2011. there has been a deal between ITV 1, Watch and a couple of other companies. ITV 1 will show series 4, Watch will show series 5 then ITV will show series 5.

I heard on the TV at the weekend that Primeval was to be shown on the BBC as they have bought the series after ITV canned it.

BBC Worldwide has overtaken ITV to become the largest partner, with BBC America – which broadcasts the series in the US – joining Germany's Pro7 as a co-production partner.

BBC Worldwide will continue distributing the show internationally, while ITV1 and Watch will show it in the UK.
