Brilliant French Film!!

BBrilliant French film- A detective who wants to be an actor, a singing busker , a medical mix up involving said detective and some millionaire, some woman who hangs around cemeteries preying on widowers and much, much more. Does anyone know this film or was it all a dream. Please if you know let me know. Thank you.
