it was called "Dead Already" by Thomas Newman ,its available to buy on the soundtrack to "american beauty" (it drove me mad for weeks before i found it !!!),i got my copy from MVC

No that's not it! :-(

 

This piece is much more classical, with a slower pace and sadder tone. It's quite a famous piece I think because it sounded familar to me, but I really want to know the name of it!!!
