Film MASH

I've just been transfering the film M.A.S.H to DVD ( Reorded on Sky HD box Friday Nov 27th & I discovered there were no credits showing at the end ( the film stopped abruptly & then Sky ads were showing ) it wasn't as though the time ran out , I carried on watching all the ads to the programme end & there was definately no more of the film.
Can anyone tell me if the film ends like that or is this a blooper on the part of Sky ? I can't stand a film with no propper end.

as I recall, weren't the credits read out aloud rather than run on screen? Did you listen as well as watch?

Thanks jno, as I was burning a DVD I was cutting it with the sound off, cheers.
