aw my sister loved him.......we all watched Bonanza and had our favourites....my mum loved Lorne Greene, me Michael Landon....and my little brother Hoss.....
Sad that he's the last 'Cartwright' - for those of us for whom Bonanza was a big treat on TV. Roberts left the series because he chafed at the notion of grown men living at home and getting permission from their dad to do anything?
They were still doing that in 'Dallas'!
That's why 'Dallas' was a flop in Japan - no-one could understand why millionaire adults still lived at home, and why they discussed business with their women!
Oh what memories. RIP Pernell.
Bonanza, Wagon Train, Rawhide, etc. - those were the days. Sitting round the 12" black and white television and enjoying all the Westerns with my dear Dad.
He was definitely the handsomest Cartwright!
Am I right in thinking that it was on tv Sunday lunch time? The memory of it brings to my mind the smell of Sunday lunch...
The handsomest Cartright masma? Surely that had to be Michael Landon?
Bonanza was always on at tea time on a Saturday. It was fish and chip supper night in our house and we always made sure we had it in and settled before the map set fire!
