In his recent travels to India, Gordon Ramsey managed to perpetuate the image of the British traveller as crass, patronising, foul-mouthed, and totally disrespectful of the customs of his host country.
Should he be allowed out of the country with a film crew ever again?

He was adamant that he didn't eat vegetarian food, which is only a meal without meat. Has he never had a cheese sandwich, a salad, egg on toast - all veggie food as far as I am concerned. At least they managed to convert him with some excellent food.
Whilst visiting the ashram he took a dip in their pool and, whilst people were meditating, proceeded to do the crawl up the pool, splashing about and totally ignoring the meditators. He also then sat on the globe in the middle of the pool, which the meditators were all looking towards, and started talking loudly to the camera. What ignorance.
Does he have to say "Oh F***" whenever he is presented with something he doesn't understand? I've managed to live most of my life without swearing (and I'm by no means a goody-goody), surely he can restrain himself for a while.
He could have learnt to say "Namaste" during the time he was there, just to be a bit more freindly to the locals.
Sorry, but I thought he was too far up his own a***.
PS. I do like some of his other programmes.
