Does anyone know the correct way to pronounce David Walliams' name? Most people seem to say 'Wolliams', but when I saw DW and Lucas being interviewed at the National Film Theatre in October, he was introduced by Graeme Garden as 'Walli-ams' to rhyme with 'scally'. Confusing!

His real name is Williams, but that name was already taken when he registered with Equity. He chose Walliams and seems to change the way it is pronounced when it suits him.

I know what happened there, MandyH, and it's all too familiar. As a man I am only just now coming to terms with the fact that whatever I achieve in life I will always be less attractive than David Walliams.
Question Author
Sorry TracyH, don't know what happened there. I don't even know a Mandy.
