I really get anoyed when contestants give a long involved talk about what they think the answer is NOT, before telling us what they think the answer IS, I end up screaming at the telly "for Gods sake get on with it, or get off and give someone else a go" who wants to be a millionaire is bad, but much worse when its celebs, they waste so much time, in it to win it is also bad, and what is the point of asking what they will do with the money before they have won anything, and letting them ramble for ages, I love quiz shows and game shows but this is getting my goat properly just lately, am I being to touchy, or does anyone else feel like this?

I quite agree. I noticed on Dale Winton's lottery show, they know the answer but go on to say why it isn't each of the other two !! I think they are told my the producers to do that rather than just blurt out the right answer. It wastes a bit of time.

They do it on Eggheads too - even if they don't know the answer. Someone with a headset on (out of our sight) is probably making stretching signs with his fingers

The longer they take on each answer on "In it to win it" the less money the BBC have to pay out.

If they didn`t fluff about wasting time the show would be over in 15 minutes, which in Eggheads case aint such a bad thing

The added annoyance on Eggheads is when the contestant is faffing about trying to work out the answer and then the camera pans across to CJ who's rolling his eyes with impatience. Don't you just want to smack him one???

The other annoyance is how long the host takes to say whether it's the right or wrong answer. Millionaire started it off by dragging it out for as long as they could get away with and so many shows now do exactly the same.

I recently had an audition for 'In it to win it' ( I didn't get on) and we were told that we had to 'talk round' the answer and not just say the answer straight away. Also had to go into detail about how we would spend the money. I think it's just to fill in the time but it is really tedious to watch.

so glad that i.m not the only one to hate all the faffing about, feel like just sticking to the weakest link, even if I cant stand Annie, at least if they don't know they say so and pass on, but there is not so much cash going on that one, so that could explain it, if they messed about in the pub quiz like that it would be chucking out time before they were half way through.

for once, just once I would love to hear one of the contestants on In It To Win to answer Dale's question about how much they would like to win with 'I came here with nothing so to win anything would be a bonus'

They all sound like moneygrabbers and I get a good dose of shardenfreude going on when the 'I want to win 30K because...' contestant turns out to be nowt but a thick twit and ends up with nowt!

maybe one or two of the TV producers will see this and decide that they could lose viewers, just wishful thinking on my part.

It's not the same thing but it annoys me on Flog it! where the presenters always ask the sellers what they are going to do with the money they're made - clear off and mind your own business!
