I watched it last night,Kim is obviously being totally over the top for the show, her cooking was horrendous, and why didnt she use her own house when they were filming like the others?
Did anyone else think that Tom was a bit creepy? Plus not wildly funny.
He is alot older and is jokes were dire!!
I missed it. Does anyone know if it`s being repeated please ?
Question Author
lucca - just my thoughts on tom oconnor too, but i didnt like to say!
yes, creepy is the word, there was just something about him, his overall look, ..... me didnt like attall.......
and his jokes, well, say no more .....

beejay, im not sure if or when its repeated, im sure it will be at some point, but have a look on the channel 4 catch up site online, youll be able to watch it there.
How was Tom O'Connor creepy? Nothing wrong with his jokes either,or was it because there was no swearing or filth in them?
Well, Everhelpful, look at looobylooo's comments - she sums it up exactly - just something a bit odd, hard to define - his food looked good but it was his manner. Plus I find many clean jokes funny - you don't need smut to laugh, but his jokes were very tired and not amusing.
Each to their own,lucca.
Question Author
no it wasnt the lack of smut and swearing everhelpful, not that attall, and like i said earlier i used to like him in the olden days, but it was 'just something' last night that i didnt quite like, cant really put me finger on it ... lol.
I said to my daughter, as we watched it last night, that it's as if Kim has a form of Tourette's without the swearing. She doesn't seem to have much control over the innuendos and strange facial expressions.
I understand what you are saying, looby, but I must have missed something,I thought the whole show was OK,not great mind, just about OK. I only watch it really for Dave Lamb's comments which as everyone knows now are scripted.
Question Author
when you compare the early cdwm's dave lambs cryptic comments to how they are today, there were really quite subtle.
and have you noticed how on other similiar style programmes on the telly now, they have a similar style commentary/voice? ie - house guest in the sun of a lunch time and 4 weddings on a sunday night on virgin1? - theyre all at it! lol
None as good as Dave Lamb, though.!!
Question Author
oooh noooo lol, no where near as good as mr lamb, but you can tell theyre all jumping on the band wagon! lol
Carrot, I was thinking that myself, plus she just doesn't seem able to interact with people in a normal way. It's almost as if she was doing an impression of Frankie Howerd especially in Claire's house.

Why did she hire a house? Could it be because hers is a sh*thole?

And did anyone else notice which song was playing when we first saw love rat Darren Day starting to cook?...

...There's a Rat in theKitchen!!! Brilliant
Question Author
yeah i wondered why she wasnt cooking in her own house too..? .. strange.

and yes, she does seem incapable of talking in a normal manner without the frankie howard impressions thrown in .... again, strange, infact very strange.
Darren Day's 'home' was also borrowed - in fact, I don't know if any of them cooked in their own homes. Maybe they are paranoid about their houses being identified.
