Just out of interest - the new series of Direct Line ads that are all over Sky and, I guess, cable.
Stephen Fry and Paul Merton as the red phone and mouse respectively.
What might they get paid for that? I presume it would be a one off, surely repeat fees aren't used when there are just so many ads?

I have to admit I don't know if it'd be £10K each or 50.

Presumably a flat fee for the recording and then royalties its times it's shown on the TV? Think voiceovers are very lucrative.
Years ago, they used to get about £50 every time the ad was shown on TV.
Well known voices such as Fry and Merton will get a royalty every time the ad is shown. The number of showing may well be taken into account when the agency negotiated the fee.
